    782mm internal fire door

The only reason I was going for the fire door is because the existing door is 44mm hence I thought getting a 35mm door would not sit well with the lining and hinges etc might not work with the existing fittings - I'm trying to do as little as possible to the existing frame and just replace the...

    782mm internal fire door

The existing door and frame do not have those strips.Would adding those strips add to the width, I thought they were built into the door frame itself? Existing door measurement is 782mm x 1955mm x 44mm I'm wondering if the previous owners got the 813mm solid doors and trimmed them down...

    782mm internal fire door

Thanks, seems like they do a lot more sizes but not 782mm - they have 762mm, 813mm, 838mm with varying trims around 4mm to 6mm Even with the 813mm, that will need 15mm off each side I'll call them later and check if they have any other options

    Quartz worktop protection film marks

Thanks for all your advice. For the window, I did use the glass film protection and not the hard surface one, but because it was facing the sun and on for a good few months, I think it had the same effect. Fortunately, for the island, I did just that and used antinox protector. Now I know to...

Hi I put this hard surface protection film on the worktop for several weeks while the builders were working in the kitchen. However, now that I've taken it off, there are marks everywhere - doesn't come off with scrubbing. Any ideas how to remove these marks or has the film taken off the...

    Underfloor heating on suspended floor

You can't fill the void, it looks like a vented space, so you will need air flow to avoid rot. Thanks, understood. Unless you fully insulate the floor, you will be wasting a lot of energy. Does this mean I shouldn't put UFH at all? You don't need DPM as the PIR has a built in vapour barrier...
