    40mm to 32 mm reducer

I believe so. They are several other solvent welds in place and its the thick Gray colour one. I thought they support solvent weld:) Any links for the small tube please? The bottled solvent solidifies after some time anyway!

    40mm to 32 mm reducer

I think the only option is go for solvent weld due to lack of space. Do they do any small quantity of solvent weld cement?

    40mm to 32 mm reducer

Ok, I see why we are not on same page. Unfortunately, this is not a standard shower tray that I am connecting the flex pipe to. The "32mm pipe end" of flexi is already connected to the shower cubicle (please don't ask me why or how:sneaky:). So this is the bit I need to connect under the floor...

    40mm to 32 mm reducer

Hi terryplumb, if I have to use the compression fitting that notsonewboy suggested, I would need to insert a small 32mm pipe to attach the flex waste pipe with the compression fitting. Please check the first image in my original post and compare it to the compression fitting:

    40mm to 32 mm reducer

I agree NotSoNewBoy, solvent weld is ideal, do they do small tubes for just a few applications of solvent weld (the whole bottle would go waste otherwise)? The link that you sent would not help me unfortunately. The 32mm compression fitting is same as that on the 32mm flexi drain pipe, so it...

Morning all, Just a quick question if anyone can help: I've to connect the following 32 mm flexible waste pipe to a 40mm waste drain pipe in a restricted space under floor board: https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-flexcon1-flexible-connector-white-white-32mm/38473 Is there a compression or...

    Concrete Post Extenders

Thanks for your replies folks. I can see some light at the end of a tunnel (and no its not an oncoming train) So I like this idea to use Feather Edge timber from top to bottom (covering the concrete fence post). Am I correct in assuming that I would need to make a U shaped cover to overlap the...

    Concrete Post Extenders

I tried to remove one, they are quite deep and set in concrete. I am not looking to do this job. Any idea if anyone does these extenders in Essex: http://www.cocklestorm.com/intermediate-fence-post-extension-pressure-treated.html

    Concrete Post Extenders

Hi, We live in a mid-terrace house with 6 ft high fence on both sides but concrete posts that are 5 ft on one side and 3 feet on other (please refer to attached pics). I do not wish to remove the posts (set in concrete) and install new ones. Could someone please advise some suitable options...

Union Lock on an Aluminium Front Door

Thanks Crank39, I've another "Mortise lock with Euro Cylinder" lock on this door that is situated underneath this lock (not visible in this picture). Can you please suggest a good replacement of this lock? Are these locks easy to replace? If you could tell me its name, I can look up some...

Union Lock on an Aluminium Front Door

Hi, Recently, my wife reported that the key would not go in or turn on the lock on the front door (pictures attached). While it did work eventually and I have since submerged the lock with plenty of WD40 from inside (by pressing the latch and also by removing the screws) and outside (through...

Horizontal Flue for Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28

No I won't be installing this myself. The RGI I plan to use has "supply and fit" and "install only" quotes for boiler installations. Since this is "install only", I intend to have all the parts for him before he can install, that includes a "compatible clock" too that I am yet to buy! Hope...

Horizontal Flue for Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28

Is it mandatory to buy the flue/ parts from the Gas safe registered engineer? Not sure how a gas safe engineer buying the same flue would enhance the safety aspecto_O

Horizontal Flue for Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28

Hi, Just bought a Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28 boiler from a newly constructed flat nearby. It came with a vertical flue but I need a horizontal flue. There are so many horizonal flues for Vaillant boilers, all marked as "standard". Part numbers (in order of price) also vary: 127100 (RSF flue kit 800...

Primrose Half cassette 4.5m wide awning repair

Hi, I've had a 4.5m wide Half - cassette Primrose awning in my garden for about 5 years. Recently the 2 metallic ropes/ steel cables (that's what they look like) have snapped in the left arm, which means only one side of awning is extending/ retracting. I've now removed the faulty arm. Please...
