I can't find any info from Bosch which of their boilers have/don't have a stainless heat exchanger - does anyone know?

I was reading through the Bosch literature and for the CDI boilers it states it condenses HW and CH water inferring that their other boilers condense CH water only? Is that true, do most boilers condense CH water only? If so I guess HW efficiency would be 70-80% and Ch water the 90% quoted...

I'm trying to decide what boiler to get, the only one I've seen with a seperate HW control is the Bosch XXsi. Would this be as useful as I would think, set the water to a good temp for washing your hands and washing up for no more scalded hands? Any other thoughts on this?

What's misleading about them? Are they not supposed to give a general idea and comparison of how an average family/house uses the heating / hot water or are they missing something? How would I find out the most efficient boiler for me?

Thanks - been to that site but there is no way to sort the boilers by their efficiency rating (%) that I can see. other than to search for A rated boilers which only means over 90% (do any boilers get better than 90%? What is the best?)

And cycling is the boiler switching on and off all the time? Don't new combi boilers adjust the size of the flame?

So an oversized boiler will in fact use more gas - a bit like having a 4L V8 in a car but only pottering around town it's going to use more petrol than a 1l car...

Will a 28kw Boiler use more gas than a 24kw one if I'm using less than 24kw. I'm just thinking of having a boiler installed and a larger one may give extra capacity to heat a garage or loft in the future (not needed now) but if I have a larger boiler will it use more gas (or maybe even less)...

I have a 9-10 foot lintel over my 7 foot garage door. The reason I got the lintel was to provide some support to the top of the walls at either side particularly as 1 wall carries a lot of weight/twisting due to a very heavy door. I don't think there's much movement in the wall though...
