Hi there a friend has a Celtic boiler and the pressure guage reads 0.5 bar and rads are cold upstairs. I can't find a charging key to re-pressurise it, is there a way to do it without the key and where exactly is the part that charges, is it the part with the splines?? Thanks in advance

Hi again Right I've found a shower pump tucked away in the cupboard that feeds the bath cold and hot. Switched it on and great, pressure's fine. Only thing is it seems to only work for 5 minutes and then stops. Doesn't seem to work when the central heating is on and sometimes responds (works)...

In particular KEVPLUMB as I think this must be the problem as the 1st tap (kitchen sink) is only three feet away from the boiler. Also she's not firing up now!!!

Can anyone explain how I can fix this please in clear terms

Hi there thanks for your replies, the boiler is a Worcester 24i and the rad trvs are set on 3. When you turn the hot tap on at the kitchen sink by the boiler you get a spurt the trickle for 3 secs then nothing. Upstairs you get even less. The pump looks ok, I took out the screw and rotated it...

Hi there I previously posted a problem with cold bath flow poor. I read somewhere on here that back flushing (i.e connect cold washing machie tap to hot washing machine tap) could sort it. Is that right? can someone explain clearly please? Thanks a lot

Hi there The pin on the TRV in my daughter's room was stuck in so rad wasn't getting hot. It was very stuck in there so I pulled at it with some pliers and it came out along with a jet of water. Now I can't get it back in all the way. Aside from turning off the water and taking the valve off...

Hi there Happy Christmas to you all. Water pressure was low in kitchen tap and bathroom taps (bath and basin. The stopcock wasn't fully open so I opened it fully. The pressure is now fine, except on the bath cold. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it please? Thanks a lot...

Hi there can someone help me again please? jsut to be really clear. 1. apart from changing the boiler (what to??) is there no way to have a header tank above the highest rad and 2. what are the signs of a faulty pump as two radiators downstairs are not working but the others are thanks again
