Dripping Bristan tap from nut - Allen key?!

Hi all. I have a small weep/ drip that I can’t stop despite trying plumbers tape, putty and nipping them up etc. It seems as though the drip maybe coming from the tap side of the nut as opposed to the back... highlighted in red on the photo... If I take the taps off, leaving the uprights...

Heating oil level - how low can I let it go?!

Thanks, wasn't sure whether it would be as low as that given the marginal height difference. I have never run it that low so wanted to know. Not saying I am going to run it right down but it is good to know as I always run on the side of caution... but also prefer to buy as much oil as I can...

Heating oil level - how low can I let it go?!

Boiler is a Worcester Camray External Boiler. The Riello Burner RD3 sits in the bottom of the boiler with the oil pipe into the side of it. The oil tank sits a few inches higher than the boiler but is not raised up any more. Am I right in saying it is gravity fed only? I presume, the question...

Texecom - Port forwarding new router

Thanks for that. Does this https://webshop.secures.nl/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/INS273-5_Com-IP_Installation_Manual_web.pdf manual (pages 6 & 7) cover most things I need to know? When you say "better still the mac address of the com ip device"... is that the internal ip address you suggest...

Texecom - Port forwarding new router

I've got a new router arriving next week and need to get it setup to connect to my Texecom panel... hardwired, not wifi etc. Port forwarding always baffles me so i'm getting someone to help me that knows about these things! Question is, beforehand, what information do I need to get for him...

Router needs resetting every Wednesday - Texecom alarm, Hikvision NVR, ???

For the last 3 weeks, my internet has dropped out on a Wednesday... my heating sends me a notification saying it's lost connection to the gateway. It also results in me being unable to access the Hikvision NVR and Texecom alarm. Turning the router on and off fixes this. The house is a holiday...

Recommendations for a adsl modem router- Texecom/ Hikvision connecting

Not sure what settings were being lost now, changed etc, but I know there was a quirk with something where I had to go into the router and change something when I connected locally (as opposed to remotely) to the alarm with the wrong outside IP. Can't recall what it was now to be honest but I'm...

Recommendations for a adsl modem router- Texecom/ Hikvision connecting

Hi all I've previously had a nightmare getting a BT provided one to to work with a COMIP on a Texecom alarm as it kept seeing to loose settings/ revert to some default settings under port forwarding etc from what I can recall. For the moment it's working... but I don't have much faith in it...

    Unvented cylinder expansion tank problems?!

Hi all Noticed the expansion tank was full of water/ very heavy and had lost pressure. Isolated water, ran off water and starting pumping (with a high pressure manual bike pump). Could not get any pressure into the expansion tank although air was going in... When tap was opened and during...

Hikvision - how to turn off IR on cameras?

Hi all A fairly new install and i'm just tweaking with settings etc so will have a couple of questions I imagine over the next week or two... first one...: Can I turn off the IR on cameras? I've been told it might improve night time quality if there's light available which there is....NVR is a...

How to remove this shower screen ?!

Thanks for that. So which way should I pull it to get it off? It's only got silicone against the tiles at the moment (that I can see) but it's pretty solid!!!

How to remove this shower screen ?!

There are no caps. I'm assuming either the inside or the outside bits of trim cover the fixings and siliconed on but I don't know which. Photo one above shows the outside. Photo two shows the inside...

How to remove this shower screen ?!

Problem is, it is getting into the back section regardless and then running down the back of the bath so I have to take the screen off to seal it.

How to remove this shower screen ?!

Thanks... but been through all that. The water isn't tracking under the glass but down the vertical edge where the screen hinges. The semi transparent seal refers to the vertical one that I'm thinking should be on the inside of the shower screen. I need to take the screen off to seal inside...
