    garage insulation

Thanks for the replies...mostly it's to keep the place at a pretty even temperature to store my tools, motorbike etc and work in over the winter. Will be putting in some soffit vents and basic form of heating but obviously it won't need insulating to standard of a habitable building.

    ferroli combi boiler pressure issue

so I got the new pressure sensor on today and still no joy....pressure is reading 7.5psi but the PRV is not operating....I've tried to reduce the pressure by bleeding a rad(a lot) but still the pressure appears to be high and doesn't drop at all, is there something I'm missing?....any...

    ferroli combi boiler pressure issue

yes bellairaphon....its a maxima 35s....the only sensor I can find is called a "low pressure" sensor but I'm guessing if it's gone west then all sorts of stuff could go wrong?....it would seem that the analogue gauge is correct or the PRV would be draining like a good 'un? Am I correct that the...

    tyvek advice

I'm planning to wrap a timber frame garage I'm building with Tyvek membrane but not too sure about what to attach it with, looking on the web our american friends seem to favour some sort of plastic headed nails wrap caps?)...bit like big drawing pins, I WAS going to just use a staple gun but...

    Cladding

I will shortly be attempting to clad a self built timber garage 6mx6m....what would be the best(read easiest) way to clad the exterior...been looking at log lap or featheredge, log lap sounds a bit trickier and more of a faff as it needs to be "blind nailed" whereas featheredge can be face...

    timber garage

Thanks Deluks...he knew about the cladding and batons (to create an air gap) but he said he wouldn't recommend using any form of sheathing beneath the breathable membrane as it would rot out over time...thing is, every timber frame building I've looked at does have some form of extra...
