I think I may not have explained myself properly sparkymarka. When I set the alarm, it only gives me the option of setting Area A, I want to have the option of setting Area B for downstairs only, leaving the landing PIR disabled. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi fezster, don't know what it was before as I didn't have any way to measure it. On the PRV I can wind it up to 6 bar, so it's at least that or more! It's on 3 bar now but there's still scope to lower it further, but I keep getting the pulsating water with the guage bouncing.

Cheers Phill, I always try to use copper wherever possible. It was bouncing when running hot or cold. The only way to stop it bouncing was to turn up the pressure whilst it was running then it would settle down. It's on 3 bar now and seems ok. I could get away with lowering it slightly more but...

Your probably right jj4091. Over the 13 years I've had the dryer I've replaced the element three times, so I'm not doing too bad. I've had earache from the Mrs and we've decided to bite the bullet and get a new dryer.! 13 years from a dryer I think is not too bad! Thanks again.
