Fitting Stone Shower Tray (A tale of woe)

The mix was a 1:5 cement:sand mix. Depth was about 20mm. If you have an enclosed area - how exactly does the mortar shift? It cant go anywhere. As my ply base was true and level - it would have been easier to bed on a thin layer of silicone?

Fitting Stone Shower Tray (A tale of woe)

Ok I have read many threads on here and yes it seems these should be bedded on an even layer of sand/cement mortar. Then levelled and left to harden. Hey what could be easier! The reality however is somewhat different. Well it was for me. I installed my marine ply base spot on level -...

Yawn - Not another shower question!

Yes I know! I am building a new shower cubicle with stud walls to 3 sides. The cubicle walls have been lined with Aquapanel down to floor level. The new ceramic shower tray fits snuggly inside the 3 walls. The shower tray has upstands on all 4 edges. I will silicone seal the 3 edges of...

    New Shower Cubicle

I have read through quite a few posts on here re showers. I am replacing the existing small 760 square shower with a bigger 1000 x 800mm shower. I have removed the existing stud walls and fixed new studding to suit. I am thinking (at this stage) to use Aqua Panel (12.5mm) within the shower...

    pipework for 3 bar pump?

I am fitting a 3 bar pump for a new shower. I plan to run the new pipework up to loft and across to an Aqualisa digital shower unit. My questions are;- 1) Will compression fittings be ok for 3 bar pressure? 2) Should I run all new pipework in 22mm? I will have to reduce to 15mm at shower...

Fitting 4 Hole Taps - What is all this?

I see - Its because the hand shower isnt sealed - hence water can get down the feed hose. So looking at diagram which end is the hand shower? Top right? With water flow indicated by arrows? Cheers

Fitting 4 Hole Taps - What is all this?

Some time ago I bought a new bath suite complete with 4 hole taps. ie main mixer taps plus a separate hand held shower fitting. I have fitted many bath taps in the past but just opened the box and never seen fittings like these. It includes a plastic tank and the attached "instructions" -...
