Fitting 4 Hole Taps - What is all this?

Some time ago I bought a new bath suite complete with 4 hole taps. ie main mixer taps plus a separate hand held shower fitting.

I have fitted many bath taps in the past but just opened the box and never seen fittings like these. It includes a plastic tank and the attached "instructions" - totally baffled!

Anyone fitted one of these?

Probably me being dumb!

Where does this tank go? Why does it have a drain connection?

the tank go's under the bath.
if you just had the hose come up through the bath any water running down the hose will puddle under the bath.

Bugger - beat me to it. I hate these things.... The last one we did looked like a colostomy bag.

I see - Its because the hand shower isnt sealed - hence water can get down the feed hose.

So looking at diagram which end is the hand shower? Top right? With water flow indicated by arrows?
