    Roof Tile Identification

Managed to get a photo of the rear, but cant seem to get an exact match. It's definitely not a smooth tile, so I assume sanded. Colour is a bit more tricky. Closest I could find looks to be a Sandtoft Concrete Plain Roof Tile. Colour: Brindle. Finish: Granulated/Sanded

Hi. I'm planning on cutting down an oak veneered door to fit under under stairs doorframe. The hope is to be able to cut out the bottom rail and "graft" back in. Any tips/hints/tricks? Or should I give up now and just make a straight cut along the bottom? Plan A in red. Plan B in blue...

    Odd size for main beam?

Agreed. I put in the same details my SE entered in his calculations. I would not want to do it from scratch! I just then chose a more suitably sized beam for my needs.

    Odd size for main beam?

I used https://www.steelbeamcalculator.co.uk/ to educate myself and to find suitable alternatives for the useless steel size my SE supplied. This site is invaluable when doing things yourself.

    Odd size for main beam?

My experience of SE's is they do the minimum work possible to get an answer that suits them, not your particular circumstances. Tell him thanks but do it again taking into account your requirements. https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/steel-bean-cavity-wall-sizes.478881/

    Tiling on vinyl?

Thanks both, i've managed to start getting some up. I'm hoping the residual glue is OK to tile on because the only way that's coming up is with the concrete!
