    Access to tap fittings advice

We have a granite worktop with an under mount sink. The mixer tap was obviously installed prior to the sink because there is only 2” between the rear wall and the sink itself and the tap rises through a hole cutout in the granite. I cannot gain access from either side or from the back. How...

    Toilet seat removal

How do you undo the seat fittings ? It looks like a nut/bolt rather than a screw securing the hinge to the base. Do I just undo the nuts? There are No fittings accessible under the base, no nuts or screws. Thanks in advance.

My Samsung has packed up - the fuse between the Magnetron and Capacitors has blown (5000V 0.8 A) . Before I replace it, I want to run some tests to find the cause. Any ideas - I can check for shorts, etc - there doesn't seem to be much more to the circuit though. I don't really want to...

    Shared Water Supply Advice

Like a lot of others on the forum we have an 1880s end terrace with shared supply. When next door flushes the toilet, the dishwasher in our place cuts out. Water Co wants '000s to run a separate supply + sort out the internal pipework after. Question - is it going to be easier to keep the...
