I lay the odd vinyl sheet floor at home and in a couple of rentals we have and cant finish the edges properly for the life of me! Are there any edge trimming tools that I can buy that will finish the vinyl edges nicely?

I'm putting a shed up close to the house. The concrete slab will be 30mm above house DPC but 150mm away from it. I'm going to dig down the 150mm strip about 12" and fill it with chippings. the shed will overhang the slab slightly. Am I ok with this???

well, well would you believe it, went to BQ and they had exactly the right push fit fittings with identical O ring, collar and gripper so bought a 22m tee for £4 and thats gives me what I need. Thanks for all comments...

yes trying very hard to get the correct replacements. Aqua say the gripper ring, o ring and thin black collar dont come with the elbow they supply. Showerspares are showing the elbow as including these parts so I dont know who is right here.The cost of 2 elbows and an outlet are about £27 but...

hope this has loaded ok. I need the gripper ring, O ring and the plastic collar thing for 3 inlets/ outlets. The pic shows the valve casing but the pipe is one of the inlets, it has the fittings on it that I need though hence I've shown it. the shower is an Aqualiser 600.

hmm this is confusing, Aqualisa are telling me the gripper rings and O rings etc that I have, are not supplied by them and that they are a plumber fitted part. Its these bits I need.....

I'm trying to fix a leak, took it apart, saw it was push fit fittings, looked to see if hep fitted, obviously not hence my post.

thanks Dan, I'll give them a ring. I've spent ages tonight trying to get Hep fittings to fit but the Aqua valve body fittings are not compatible - once you assemble the o ring and gripper ring etc and put the copper pipe into valve body , the Hep screw cap bottoms out on valve body and doesnt...

does anyone know if the push fit fittings in Aqualisa shower pipework is their own brand or can I buy them somewhere else? Hep2O dont fit! Its an old shower btw probably 20 odd years old and its a 609 Thermo mixer.... thanks:)

looking at a Stuart Turner techflow Positive head pump 1.5 bar shower pump and its set to 30 mins on and 30 mins off. Presume it means after 30 mins use it needs to rest for 30 mins. What is the reason for this and are all shower pumps made this way? thanks:) PS sorry typo in title should...

sorry theres no pics, I think I will just butt them up and possibly glue as you say, as even though this particular corner is near the bath its not as if it gets water constantly etc...

thats great point, thanks.... but what happens if you want to put trim in an area that gets water? I've got a fitted cabinet that ends on to the bath so water will splash onto that outside corner with the trim on it...

having fun and games trying to tile our bathroom! I'm using square metal tile trim at the edges. I've read that people like to tile tight up to trim. If you do this surely water can leach through as there is no grout? especially as some of the tiles are cut and therefore are not dead straight...

should have done that myself but its all unpacked, assembled and loosely fitted. Looks like i will have to flog off the Ideal for what I can get and get something else. Cant wait to see the reaction of the guys at the counter I bought it off when I say what I bought wasn't white enougho_O

oops, in the process of fitting our bathroom with a Carronite white bath and Ideal Standard White basin and toilet and the bath is sharp white the the other 2 an off white - they look no where near the same white. Surely this is not normal! what I have I done wrong? I got a feeling I 've messed...
