I inherited an unvented system from the previous owner and I am renovating my bathroom with a new shower that will be concealed so I want to get this whole thing done right and when I've got the chance with the best pressures and balanced cold feeds, and then also know when I do my ensuite I...
Ok, home, dry and warmer. Thanks for the immediate help.
For some reason rads wont balance in both rooms now though, room next door now not working after I got it working. Maybe need balancing or a few cycles?
What on earth is this.
TRV was 15mm to 10mm microbore.
I have nothing to work with on the 10mm the njt fits the new trv but wont tighten.
Anyone able to help?
I've brushed live light switch a few weeks ago. Door went for a delivery and I forgot I hadn't isolated.
I've got a smart watch on, HB was upto 100BPM when I checked straight after when I stand at about 75 usually.
Thanks.
I can go along about 1m for the U bend. I'd get if you was doing a 180degree but I'm doing two 90's?
I've bought some 3m runs from SF today so will have a bash at this tomorrow with one of the runs (after praying at church).
I have a crosswater crossbox to install for a shower.
Wall is Thermalite breeze and plan to channel out for the valve and pipes as I have limited space.
Its an unvented system and I have two previous Polypipe tails from a Bar Mixer that was dropped down the ceiling available to connect in...
I'll only be using it a few times a year, I've already laid the cables so will check where the nearest PL is tomorrow and go from there.
Might just have the arrangement where I need to have landing on and switch to have it on when I'm up there.
I think I'll probably do this as it feels more complete.
Didn't realise you was in Poole @flameport /John I'm in Ringwood area, I've found many a video you've done scratching my head and also used so many of your guides online so thank you.
@SUNRAY not sure why the light would be left on for...
I have installed a loft light off my last downlight but this will always be on when the landing lights are on which is a bit of a pain.
Can I add a switch between the last downlight and loft light?
I'd be (reluctantly) spending the money. As much as I'm a cost saver myself and like to stretch investments 40 years is a long time for a shower install on Return on Investment :)
I have had a bath crack myself, luckily It had done it before on a minor level when used as a shower and I'd put...
Ive just done this in my bathroom and it lokks to be the same grey stuff.
Only way i got it off from my chipboard was a angle grinder and concrete sanding disc. Went through it rather easily enough after trying ither methods such as multitool blades, sds with scraper blade.
You will need a...
Is 32mm for waste suitable? I've had 40mm from original build installed that had horrible boxing, I'd prefer to whack this into 50mm Metal stud and out the wall with 32mm if I could.
Or with metal stud is the integrity more impacted than wood?
If there was one It would be good for it to plan based on room dimensions shower type, then provide optimal pipe runs for plumbing concealed showers and if possible come in install it all and guarantee the work for 25 years then brilliant.
Maybe the first bit could be easily done.
