    Central Heating pipework

When the hot water was on I could here a lot of water going down the condensate pipe but I assume that is nothing to do with the water discharging through the copper pipes outside, just a coincidence.

    Central Heating pipework

Thanks. Do I take it that overheating is involved and heating is not been switched off?

    Central Heating pipework

I have attached an image of external pipework at the front of my house. I noticed a couple of days ago that water was dripping from one of the pipes whilst the boiler was heating hot water. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Thanks. I take it I should be supplying some more information.

    Boiler temperature.

I have a Worcester Bosch 24Kw gas boiler. The knob/dial indicating boiler temperature max/min just has a black line on it, not figures in degrees C. There is an optimum temp recommended for efficient boiler output so just a line is of little use. Is there a way around this issue, other than...

    Cistern Coupling Washer

Except that the cistern does not tighten up. There are no holes in the cistern, it sits on the washer and is fixed to the back wall. The new washer raises the cistern higher than the fixing holes in the wall even when the weight of the cistern is applied. The older washer does look a lot...

    Cistern Coupling Washer

Thanks. The instruction for the coupling says......."so that the flat face is in contact with the plate." Have I misread it?

    Cistern Coupling Washer

I have attached a photo of a cistern coupling washer which I'm replacing with a new one shown in position 60mm I/D. Will the new washer work? It is supposed to, but there is an obvious difference in the O/D size. I positioned the cistern on the new plate and rubber washer but the cistern sits...

    Cistern syphon sizes.

Thanks. The outside dia of the threaded pipe is given as 1.5 inches on the syphon I was looking at.

    Cistern syphon sizes.

Thanks. Will the fluidmaster fit an external lever flush?

    Cistern syphon sizes.

Whilst sourcing a toilet cistern syphon I've noticed that every outflow pipe dia is 38mm whilst the hole on my cistern to take a new syphon is 50mm dia. There cold be a problem when tightening up the nut onto the rubber washer ie not enough material to tighten up onto. Have I got an unusual...

    DC Plug availability.

Thanks everyone. I should have said that the metal part of the plug is 12 mm long.

    DC Plug availability.

Does anybody know where I can purchase a DC 9V-12V radio plug similar to the attached but not a sealed unit? The plug is 5.5mm outside dia and appears to be 2.0mm inside dia. The plug is positive centered. The amount of similar plugs available is rather like a minefield! Thanks.
