Can I fit a tap reviver kit to these taps?

Thanks @picasso. That did it. It got the taps tops off. The kit that fitted was the 1/2" kit as you suggested. What a job I had figuring out the spacers to get the tap to close. Brass spacer fitted to tap was to short; tap wouldn't close. Extension brass piece included was too long; couldn't fit...

Can I fit a tap reviver kit to these taps?

Taps in photo were fitted a long time ago, how long before 2007 I don't know. Hot tap hardly turns and is tight. So I got a tap reviver kit from Screwfix, see photo. However I can't pop the cap on top of the tap to release the screw. I drilled down a bit, see photo, and top of tap still not...

cap off 3/4 inch bath taps

Bath has two 3/4 taps, hot and cold. Was considering replacing knackered swirl taps with reviver kit. Bath is never used and capping taps off avoids possibility of young student tenants flooding over run bath onto neighbours underneath. Anyone know if there is an equivalent to a reviver kit that...

H-section shower rail has never run smooth across join

It was fitted carefully last year. It never ran smoothly then. I tried a bit of force for re-aligning at time of fitting. Will try sanding edges more and may be twisting for re-alignment again. Twisting did not seem to help last time. The mix of the plastic track 'joiner' and the aluminium rail...

UPVC window sill that is not UPVC window sill; damaged, how to repair

Hi, I have a window sill damaged by an incense stick someone left on it. You can see if you look at the photos that the internal sill is not Upvc because it has burnt through the this plastic(?) veneer to the wood composite below. Any ideas how to repair? Thanks Is there a paint type that...

Best way to access roofline for painting or replacing or over cladding fascias

Bungalow needs fascias painted and or part replaced / overclad. Plastic gutter will have to come off to do this. House is quite large, fascia perimeter is 64m. Fascia is at height 2.7m above ground. If I put a ladder against gutter then stability is spongy as it springs off the plastic gutter...

Need a radiator pipe "kick plate"

Have 8mm OD (outside diameter) copper running between radiator and floor. It's getting kicked and worried it's going to come apart. Does a steel protector "kick plate" as outlined in drawing exist, or something similar. Not worried that it looks ugly. (Changing the pipework to more robust 15mm...

    Fitting FD30 fire doors

Hi, thanks for the explanations; I saw what pads are at link here but I cannot see that this forms a smoke seal in the hinge region What is the "1 blade"? Are smoke seals ignored in the region of the hinge? Why are these pads placed under the hinge?

    Fitting FD30 fire doors

Can the intumescent brush seal go on the door. I reckon it will be easier to router down the middle of the 3 door edges that pull the door casing out to do the same. What about the 3 special hinges, does there have to be seal around the edge of the hinge, or can it be ignored.
