Appreciate the responses even though I am a tad confused still - spoke to my energy supplier they said if your losing pressure ~4bars must be a leak! Even though I cant smell anything and had other people in the house to verify that ... :?

Apologies in advance for crossing issues but it is probably related to my high ££. I realised last night that the boiler keeps on going on during the night and staying on for most of it. It was not heating thermostat driven so assuming water - but this doesnt seem normal right?

I can produce facts and figures to say otherwise :o OP, why do you not call the fitter back and let him provide correctly sized gas line? Its an inherited problem when we brought the house, dont know who fitter is. So really confused as to whether this is causing extra ££ or not...

Thanks Tony - still a bit confused as to what the practicality of such a loss means, should I start checking for leaks? Should I even get it fixed?

Understood - but then should I not worry about the loss of pressure thats taking place between the meter and boiler? I get there will be some loss of pressure but its much higher than average (I am told)?

Right so I am using more gas than I should be to do the same job if the pipework was not undersized. Is the upgrade straightforward job for most fitters?

Err yes I get that - the question is how can I resolve this situation - clearly the fitters didnt do a great job even though the system is around a year old.

Hi - thanks for replies - yes for sedum roof I will be getting a specialist to look at it but I wanted to go on the roof to measure and check out a few other things, just wanted to make sure that was safe to do.
