Hi, I am looking for a reasonable quality cordless drill driver for around £100. I have had bosch, nutool and aldi's own but I got stuck at the weekend with all the batteries dead or not holding charge. They are all getting on a bit, so I thought I would look for a 'new' generation cordless...

it is for an 'everlasting match', to be used to light camp stoves, candles etc. I don't smoke.

Hi, just a quickie.. I bought an 'everlasting match' off the bay the other day, as you do. I was about to buy some fuel for it when someone mentioned there are different types.. can anyone shed any light on this please? cheers Rich

thanks John, I like you like to have a 'few' sets around the place, but it's all the newer ones that are made off soft cheese. I will have a look at the wickes sets when i get a chance to get to the store.

Hi, we've been doing some work in the utilitry over the christmas break and i've fiound all my cross blade/pozi screwdrivers have damaged heads? Most are 'no name' but I now need to replace them. So.. what is the difference between cross head and pozi? what are the best value drivers to get...

that is an interior wall, it used to be an outside wall but an extension was built years ago. I am not sure where the fan actually is, I would presume this end behind the grill,. I will see if I can grab some air and see about giving it a clean out at the weekend.

Hi, we have a downstairs shower/toilet that has an extractor fan. It sounds like the bearings in the fan are starting to go, screeching a little bit. Is it worth trying to refurb it or would getting a replacement make more sense? Rich

ok got that. don't use PVA dilute matt emulsion with 30% water and roller on and cut in with a brush... roughly how long should I wait for it to dry, if the plaster is going to suck the water out of the paint? i didn't see the posts 'below' when i searched, they were from 2007/8...

when i searched is says 50:50 30:70 15% ?? also seems to depend on whose paint you use?? I am new to this and don't really want to balls up my kitchen - I am trying to save money not have to waste more on getting a pro to fix my mess...
