    Thanks johnd. The joist in corner is further down from end of wall so cant get to it . So will use the drill driver twist bits to take it. The cabinet will also hang on the other wall so should be secure

    The easiest way would be the rail. But can only see it in small lengths from amazon. As long as its ok with going onto overhanging the end studs. The studs are wood. Any ware else sell it

    The socket its coming from is a fcu protected by 13a fuse. It goes to a single and double socket. (Total 6 amp). The hood would come from this to a 3a sfcu its the cable from the hood how do I get the flex across to the fcu without it being out zone

    Its for kitchen cabinet lights. Can't run from switch as the switch doesn't have a earth or neutral, and they can't be picked up from another circuit. That's why it comes from fused 5a fcu

    Thanks for replying. It should have said spurred from. The socket will be at other side of room that's going to be powered from switch. Cable getting run under floor, it will he within the regulations for the run.

    Thanks for answer . I was going to just switch the live through the switch and take the neutral and earth from the fcu that will be powering .the switch Join the neutral and earth to the cable leaving box So when it gets to the socket l, n, and e will be connected to socket.
