    Tub or cement adhesive?

I've got some ceramic tiles to stick up in the bathroom which are 260mm x 380mm and weigh about 1.5kg each. The wall is masonry, some of it painted. I've done the gaffer tape test to check for the soundness of the painted bits. Is there a tub adhesive with enough grab to cope with these...

    Marley tiles

Thanks, Jasmine. I think it's masonry so I'll just use brute force!

    Marley tiles

Any advice on how to remove those nasty 1970s Marley tiles from walls please? And the adhesive?! Also, with a decent primer (e.g. bullseye 123), can they be painted over?

Using tub adhesives / grout lines

Thanks for the reply. I did a job for someone today and they'd already bought the adhesive. I'm grouting tomorrow but I'm using the tried and tested Bal with microban instead of their adhesive/grout.

Using tub adhesives / grout lines

I've got to use some ready-mixed adhesive/grout tomorrow for the first time. Anything I should bear in mind? I've only used cement-based adhesives and separate grout before. Also, is it possible/advisable to tile without grout lines? The tiles have been picked to match the kitchen work...

    Tile trim on external corners

Hi, I'm tiling half way up a window reveal so I have two external corners to put trim around. Trouble is I can't work out how to do the joins where the three trims meet (horizontal along wall / horizontal out of the window reveal / vertical up the window reveal). Can anyone help please?!

    Pad or Roller?

OK, so do you dekkies use low tack tape to protect window frames, skirts, mantlepieces etc or are you skilled enough not to need it? How about a 'signwriter's rest'?

    Pad or Roller?

I seem to be the only person I know who prefers using pads to rollers for painting walls. I just think they're quicker to use and give a better finish. What are the pros and cons of each? Have I just been using crap rollers? If so, what is the best type?

    Tiling - Wall Adhesive

I read somewhere that you shouldn't use powder adhesives on plastered walls. Does that mean you have to use a ready-mix? If so, any recommendations? And who are the best tiling suppliers - Topps Tiles?
