    E15 error on Hotpoint WD72 Washer/Dryer!

The new element came yesterday and after quite a while I finally figured out how the washer actually comes apart and replaced it. The old one was covered in scale etc and also had a 2" black (looked to be burnt) area which I assume was causing the fault as so far everything seems to be working...

    E15 error on Hotpoint WD72 Washer/Dryer!

Ok, tested on a 95' wash last night, it did not take the powder in, but otherwise it did heat the water and completed the wash without error! So I cleaned out the powder tray and put in fresh powder and tested again on 40' and this time it took the powder and again it completed without error...

    E15 error on Hotpoint WD72 Washer/Dryer!

Thanks Rocks1 I will have to double check, but I'm sure the wife said it didn't take the wash powder in. I will test it tonight on a hot wash. It sounds fine when spinning.

    E15 error on Hotpoint WD72 Washer/Dryer!

Our Hotpoint WD72 has started showing the error 'E15 Check outlet pipes' I have checked the filter and all pipes and there are no blockages. The machine will heat the water, wash and empty, but the pump seems to keep running even though the water has been emptied and then the E15 error is...

Potterton Suprima 60L, Central heating not working, water is

I spoke too soon, after running a bath, I thought I would switch the hot water on to make sure it is ok, but I'm having the same problem, the boiler wont start up, just the red light, the heating won't come on either even if I manually switch the valve on. I have never noticed the hot water not...

Potterton Suprima 60L, Central heating not working, water is

I switched the heating off this afternoon and later it would not come back on, so while it was playing up I removed the actuator and manually opened the valve and the heating came on. I then turned the thermostat up and down and the actuator was opening and closing and the heating turning on and...

Potterton Suprima 60L, Central heating not working, water is

The thermostat is activating the actuator so maybe it is the valve sticking, I assume you do mean the valve beneath the actuator? Tony

I have a problem with the central heating not coming on when it should, it does come on eventually, but it can be hours on some days. The hot water is working fine, but when the timer kicks in for the central heating nothing happens, the read light just stays on. I have tried another timer, but...

Changing solid fuel central heating to gas. Advice please!

I've just had a quote from a local company to change my central heating from a solid fuel back boiler to a gas boiler (not combi) which will be located in the loft. The guy said he would recommend changing all the rads and valves to new ones because they are really old, and also a new bigger...

Plaster coming away from wall, what should i do?

Hello again, wonder if you could help with this one! I've just removed the old tiles from around the bath before a complete refit and complete re-tile, but the plaster has come away from the wall from about half way down. The plaster is still flat and mostly undamaged, just a few cracks...

Can i fit this extractor fan above my bath?

Got the links working now, had to re-install acrobat tho, weird! From looking at the diagrams i think it should be ok also. Instruction for wiring say: A double pole fused spur must be used, fitted with a 3 amp fuse, sited outside the bathroom. Thanks!
