Might sound like a silly question but....
I have a bath panel which meets a tiled wall. The tiles are cut to curve around the shape of the bath panel, but aren't particularly neat.
I'd therefore like to silcone between the bath panel (vertical edge at end of bath) and the tiles, whilst still...
We lifted the silicone slightly with a plastic siliconeremoval tool - the corner with the leak came off very easily and brought up the small bead of grey silicone attached as per second set of photos. As you can see, the bead of grey silicone was rather small. The grey silicone attached itself...
I've got a Tabor combination unit where the sink and toilet are built into the one unit. Link here for info.
Unfortunately the cistern has now started to leak into the toilet so I want to replace the valve etc.
The problem I've got as that the sink and worktop is all one. There are no screw...
Hi
I've got a leak from a shower waste so I'm going to have to take out a section of the ceiling below (oh joy) to repair. Given the location of the water mark on the ceiling below, I'm reasonably sure that the leak is coming from the trap. The trap in question is one like this type...
Right guys ,this is where i print my retraction statement...he ha
Dunno how I got it so wrong...
But the gear to remove silicone with zero effort is AutoGlym Tarr Remover. And NOT Brake Bloody cleaner...Jeez....
So anyway , it removes silicone easier than actual 'Silicone Remover " does...
Hi everyone,
I've got a couple of patches of mould in the silicone sealer around my bath. I was wondering what the best way was to replace it?
Do I simply replace the bad patches or all of it? Is there a specific tool I should use to remove it or do I use a Stanley knife or something...
I have used silicone remover before, you need to remove as much of the silicone as you can first with a scraper or blade them put on lots of the silicone remover and leave it for a few hours (I first thought i would see it melt infront of my eyes but it doesnt)
Just a quick question. I'm repainting my kitchen and removed the old silicone sealant that was used on the inside of windows and topside of granite countertop. The old sealant was put on by the original contractors (new build) and was stripping in areas.
I've used the decorators caulking...
Hi, I have removed a load of old silicone from the shower which has plastic boards rather than tiles. The boards are black marble effect so I am going to use black silicone vertically in the corners, but it might look strange to use black above the shower tray. However where the black vertical...

If she doesn't like it, you shoudl tell 'er indoors, to get outdoors, and don't come back in.
Seriously though, you can buy proprietary silicone removers, although a bit of scrubbing and scraping usually removes silicone for me. Pop down to your local B£Q... sorry B&Q, and look for a silicone...
I'm trying to remove my bath panel, but it's not being cooperative. I've cut the silicone, and I've tried pulling up it away from the bath from underneath, but it's still not budging. It's got little white things as you can see in the picture, are they what's stopping me from removing it? TIA
Am fitting slate tile effect laminate floor in my kitchen, I fully understand that 10mm expansion is required but I have white gloss units, I have removed skirting etc but what can I do where the floor meets of my kitchen base unit decor end panels. Could I get away with a 5mm gap at these...
I think the only way you will remove it is with a razor blade.
The best way I have found to put silicone on, is put masking tape each side, spread the silicone, remove the tape immediatly, then with a wet finger, run it over the silicone.
Thanks Madrab
Would silicone remover help in loosing the plate which seems quite strongly glued onto the tiles or is there a better way of removing silicone adhesive?
I bought this house just over 2 years ago.
I've noticed that the balcony door tends to leak during heavy storms and the wooden sill inside tends to swell up a bit the next day.
I tried flushing the drains in the frame, and quickly realised that the external drain has been completely sealed off...
