Hi. Got a small area to plaster around a window and was wondering if it was best to fill this gap so it blended better or just follow the contour of the board? I'm thinking fill the gap as it will look better?

I have tweaked the beading so I dropped the right hand bead down so that it lines up now and I think I can feather in the edges around the base.

I managed source some nice oak trim for around the stairs that would cover the gaps but I could also use it against the wall? It won't offer the protection of a skirting though so would most people still put a chunky skirting here or use this? Thanks

Yeah you're right it's Fakro. I've made a frame. I was tempted to use expanding foam but I can fill the frame with insulation. That part of the void is actually part of the house , it was originally an outside wall but this is the extension I'm redoing.
