Sister don't use forums needs sŵa extension for new detached annexe replacing old one electrician told her he'll use gel filled joint, quick and easy, presumably they'll last for ages
Is it better to dispense with eco 7 contactor switched by signal cable and go for dual tariff unit I.e. disconnect the signal cable.
Presumably the board will go on eco 7 at the prescribed times for all circuits,
Spoke 2 electricians re new c u
1 said no need for EICR, before, 1 said test before
Comments please is it not prudent to find faults before installation
Photo shows existing c u will be having new c u installed problem not enough length on existing supply cables as modern units have longer dimensions to the connection
Can an extension box be installed in yhe loft above don't want all circuit cables extended if possible.
Electrician coming next...
1. Existing c u is tight to the ceiling, can new one go in same place.
2. I live in a 2nd floor flat, meter is on ground floor with main 80 amp fuse close by do I need another fuse
Looks like a 4mm existing cable is installed, will this suffice for new 32amp ceramic hob.
The cable is approx 4m length 1.2m embedded in the wall, cable is pvc sheated
I have a memera 2000 consumer unit with a aa203 contactor wich is switched via signal cable that comes from the smart meter into a 5 amp fuse carrier which then connects to the contactor.
If the contactor fails, no suspicion it will soon, is an up to date alternative available for the mem 2000...
