Hi all, I am fixing a lean-to conservatory which abuts a flat felt covered roof. The end glazing bar runs diagonally along the flat roof facia. The flat roof has been formed into a bit of an upstand where it is in contact with the conservatory. I am looking for a self-adhesive flashing strip...

    Sealing lead flashing?

Hi, I recently had a conservatory built with glass roofing rather than polycarbonate. Runoff from the lead flashing seems to leave white marks on the glass roof panes closest to the wall. Should the lead flashing have been coated with anything to reduce surface oxidation? Many thanks

    Axminster BTS10PP table saw feedback

For anyone in the market for a saw bench/ table saw, some comments on this saw which I returned. I was looking for a mid-price light trade use rated machine, very disapointed with this. Positives: rip fence locks front and back, is rock solid and has additional extruded aluminium guide with...

Hi folks, Need to seal around a new acrylic bath, against a tiled wall. I was going to silicone but was wondering whether the Homelux sealing strips are any good. They look like they would give a neat waterproof seal, but I would like some reassurance from anyone who has some experience...

Hi folks, Central heating system now seems to have a mind of its own. On the controler, CH is switched off, hot water on. It appears rads heat up when there is a call for hot water & the system appears to be ignoring controler & stat. settings. Controler is an old Horstman Amethyst 7, no...

    Radiator ballancing needed for TRV's?

Hi all, Replaced a number of rad valves with thermostatic ones. Is it still neccesary to ballance the rads or can I just leave the lockshields on those rads fully open? If the TRV is controling flow through the rad, cant see the need to restrict output.
