    Flatbed microwaves

Got a Panasonic one, had it a year or 2. Can't fault it in any way. I very much prefer it over a turntable one.

Dremel - best buy & Accessories

I have both corded and cordless (x2) . Corded one is used most in my workshop, I use it with a flexible shaft, cordless is there but not used that much. Flexible shaft enables much much better control for finer work. I have the other cordless in my toolbag at work, incredibly useful there...

Hot water has suddenly got much hotter!

Simplest explanation. Your combi is designed to heat the water coming in by a set temperature. The water going in to your boiler is warmer at the moment therefore comes out hotter.

    mini blow torch

Dremel versatip will do the job no problem. About £30-35. I've not been impressed by my iroda soldering irons/blowtorch (got 2)

Drayton LP241 in a strange state

Turn the hot water on, if you don't hear a click tap the top of the programmer with a screwdriver handle, use a little bit of force. If it then comes on its a sticky relay. When you turn hot water off you should heat a click to show that the relay had moved. These clocks getting a sticky...

    Cordless Screwdriver advice sought

you would quickly get bored and frustrated using a 3.6v screwdriver for loft boarding, i've got the 3.6v bosch gsr but it's reduced to just undoing screws on kids toys. 10.8v would be much much quicker. if you want sheer ease i'd say go for an impact driver, noisier but no pilot holes will be...

What's So Special About Worcester Magnetic Filters.

that is a ridiculous price for a filter, only has a 2yr guarantee as well, same as the magnaclean. neither are great quality.

    Cheap Tools

A drill driver is much more likely to knacker a screw head than an impact driver due to the way they work. The knackered screw heads were most likely done by a drill driver, seen it happen many times. Impact drivers are much better for removing stuck fixings and have easy speed control so can...

    British Gas 330 Boiler (Flue)

The flue should be available still. If there is bad corrosion in the flue it would be very unusual, normally a leak on this flue shows up before it corrodes and can be fixed by dismantling it, deburring the inner flue and replacing the seals. Easy enough job for the gasman to do.

Powermax 155x – Pump replacement - drain blocked URGENT

If it's the one with a pump in front of the sump at the bottom then it doesn't have pump valves and yes the system can be drained to replace either pump from any drain point. The pump valves on these are garbage and always leak.

    Smart phones... again!!

I've got the note 2 and have to say it's a great phone. Call quality is good, texts, emails etc all easy. Multi screen is good for messaging/emailing while searching on the web for info at the same time. Wife used to have a BlackBerry, not an overly reliable phone, loved to crash and the call...

    Ideal F/L codes

Get someone that's gas safe registered. It sounds like a nice easy fix of delayed ignition but can only be rectified by someone gas safe registered due to where the fault is

is 4g an overhyped wasdte of time?

Seeing as how 99% of places don't even have 3g yet i can't see 4g existing outside of big city centres for a couple of years and by the time it filters out to other places it'll be superceded. Anyone have 4g or think it'll actually be useable unlike 3g?

    2 tier roads?

I've thought about this exact idea. Uneconomical cars should actually pay less road tax because it'll be recouped on fuel duty. zero road tax is quite posibly the most stupid, ill thought out tax idea the government have ever had

    Copper vs Stainless Steel cylinders

How often does the immersion actually get used and how often do they fail? answer is rarely and the incoloy immersions are easy to get. Immersions are a hell of a lot easier to replace on the stainless cylinder than on a copper cylinder.
