Currently open hot water cylinder! Help!

Well the warix flange I have bought has now had all of the corners sheered off from trying to tighten it! It needs at least another full turn before it's properly tight..... The iron nipple may re-instate the thread?

Good Shower Pump for Cylinder Hot Water

Anyone got any recommendations for a good shower pump where we have tank fed cold and cylinder fed hot water? Was thinking of trying one of the new Stuart Turner ones - http://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/products/showermate/s18-bar-twin

Evening. Im going to help a friend add a couple of new rads. He only has rads upstairs and wants a couple in his living room on the ground floor. He has a back boiler behind his fireplace. Are they tank fed or do they have a mains feed like on a combi? He doesn't seem to know...

Re-tiling on to marine ply or aquapanel

the previous cubicle had been done just in plasterboard so it's all come down. I think i'm going to go with aquapanel and then take it down again in a years time if we want to :? I'll try to convince her not to

Re-tiling on to marine ply or aquapanel

Evening. I am about to re do the shower cubicle. Currently we just want to put up some plain white tiles and then re do the whole bathroom next year. I guess that I would be best to use Marine Ply rather than aquapanel if the tiles are going to come done in a year or so. Any...

    Clicking radiator

the rad heats up fine and is hot all over - it really isn't anything more than a slight annoyance at the moment - just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something that needed attention.

    Clicking radiator

    it just did it again.....

    Clicking radiator

It has got a TRV as do all of the rads. This is the only one that clicks. My estimate about frequency of clicks and times was wrong though - it's probably 2 or 3 clicks very second - its just done it. The rad is warm when it's doing it and it sounded like it was coming from the middle of the rad.

    Clicking radiator

Just one of my rads is making a clicking sound - not constantly just once in a while. It clicks continuously for a few minutes and then just stops. the rads are all on. It sounds a little like metal on metal rather than an actual clicking. The sound is very regular in terms of about every 2...

The water supply comes up in to the bathroom and then goes aroumd the room supplying the various appliances. I was going to tap in to the supply where it comes in to the room before it gets to the other appliances as that is where it is most convenient. Will that just lead to a slight...

Putting the washing machine in the bathroom

That is what we were plannign on doing - we have a room behind the bathroom that we were thinking of locating the socket in and then feeding the wire through the wall - it was more the worry about the washing machine ruining our use of the bath that concened us..... :?
