Plasterboard adhesive stuck on outside wall...

Hello, I’ve just bought a bungalow and outside the previous owners had had a conservatory. They took the top half with them and have just left the foundations. On the outside wall of the patio doors where the conservatory used to be were some plaster boards. I popped them off and had a go at...

What's the best way to trim the bottom of doors?

I've been reading about and I can't find any definate answers on this. Circular saws have been mentioned but read they were harsh and likely to cause splinters. Planers were ok but only if it need to trim few mm off but you could go wrong with getting it level. Hand saws, slow hard graft...

    Lintel above sitting room window.

I've bought a new house and the bricks above my sitting room window are bowing down towards the centre. Looks like the lintel is goosed. The window is about 7ft-8ft long. How much roughly will this cost to repair?

    DIY Tool Box

Your right and that's what I wanted in the first place but I don't have anywhere to put it yet. I'll be getting a shed in the future once I've sorted the garden out. Then.

    DIY Tool Box

Ok here we go, I think I've found the tool box I'm looking for. It's expensive but I don't mind because it looks like it's solid and will last. Downside it's heavy by the looks of it but the way I see it, I'll only be using it around the house and it has a pretty large tote tray so I'll be able...

    DIY Tool Box

Ha thanks, can't argue with you there though. I've been looking at these... http://www.vetopropac.com/ Not as big as I'd like but maybe my choice could be one of these and then a tub or something of the sort for my larger tools. Expensive bags but what's your opinion on these hold alls?

    DIY Tool Box

You don't sell your equipment well "if you over load them the lid splits around the handle mount". I've got quite a bit of stuff I need storing and chances are that handle mount is on it's way out. Sorry mate, might come back to that but I'll keep looking for the minute.

    DIY Tool Box

On that note I canceled my order and am now on the lookout for a new tool box. :? I don't think there's a toolbox out there that is good is there? Normally with products there's always one or two that rule the market. Tool boxes seem to be all poorly made and ****.

    DIY Tool Box

I've just ordered the Stanley Galvanised Metal Rolling Workshop 1 92 154 pretty expensive at £95 delivered. I'll let you know what it's like teahead next week when I get my hands on it. I've just looked at the one you've got and the galvanised metal one I've ordered. It says the metal one has...

    DIY Tool Box

I've actually thought about that IRWIN tool box but have read at a few places that the tote tray warps and becomes usesless. Also the yellow containers on top are easily broke. I need something sturdy and strong. Which is why I'm asking about the Stanley one. The wheels should help me get it...

    DIY Tool Box

Hi, I've just bought a new house that needs quite a bit of work doing to it. I'm going to try and do a lot of my own work on the place. Just general DIY really. Been looking for a large, reliable toolbox to store my tools for this project. I've been looking at this one...

Where to buy a Perspex sheet?

Does anyone know where I could buy a clear Perspex sheet, preferably online? I’d need it tailored to a size approximately 40” x 50” or 1015mm x 1270mm and about 2mm or 3mm thick? Or even two sheets exactly half that size. Any help would be great. Cheer.
