Sounds like the hot water tap slamming shut. does it happen to all the hot water taps? Never came across this on a boiler before.

Check out the moulded plug which feeds the pump, most likely that has melter internally and is shorting. Bet Ya it is that :)

Sounds like the non-return valve is faulty. Probabaly £5 for the part, drain down to replace. Chance rlooking to make some money

It's the hot water preheat. SO yob get water quicker when you do open the hot tap. I think it you tuen the hot water stat down on the boiler you can turn it off. Have a look.....sure it says preheat

I came across this a few years agoa at a first visit job. New owner had ripped out the fire, fitted a wooden panel to cover the gap and left a letterbox opening where the spigot goes. They were not happy when I swiftly capped their only heating and hot water source. :lol: :lol: SOme people

Turn off all the radiators downstairs for 15minutes see if they heat up. If not turn the remaining radiators off upstairs leaving only the 2 not working on. The pump should force the water to theses radiators. If not you may have a blocked pipe. Usually does the trick though.

Just get a footpump on the valve at the top/back of the boiler. Same as a bike/car valve. Pump it up to 1bar. DO it with drain open to boiler. Refill system and hey presto. Nothing easier.

Expansion vessel needs pumped up. Pressure dropping during the night when the system is cooling down.

Could be diverter valve wax capsule . Could also be main pcb, the one that faces you. Is prone to bad solder joints, have a wiggle with the wires at the top row of connectors, be careful, and see it it kicks into life. You will get a buzzing/arcing noise it this is the case.

Sometimes on DHW demand, a rattle occurs. AFter replacing the cheap non return plasticky valve it stops. I presume that's what he was talking about...........................

I will change the bobbin when I get round to stripping it apart. Usually that only rattles on dhw demand though in my experience.

I'm BG!! No jokes req as it is MY boiler. Venturi/fan clear, flame not lifting or anything like that. Just a very weird noise. Fixed a fair few of these but never heard this on any "Noisy" boiler in 8 years......

Not locking out just sounds like overheating......

As the title suggests I have a overheating Linea 735. The problem is on heating and hot water. 18month old boiler, system flushed, magnaclean filter fitted. The overheating noise is not a constant squealing, more like a motion noise, hard to explain, like a steam train engine...

The led is flashing as a 3 minute time delay after the hot water demand. Other than that from the video cannot comment. What happens after the light stops flashing? THe ch sensor could be faulty,timer not actually calling for heat, roomstat faulty...........etc

The pressure of the system not circulating is causing the water to pump over into the tank. Still need to sort out the air before all will be back to normal.
