New Wall mounted internal cistern not filling

Cheers dilalio. It's my first time to tackle an internal cistern. After I disconnect the water feed, what's the best way to take the filter and diaphragham unit out?

Yep . Plenty of it. Guess that rules out the airlock.

New Wall mounted internal cistern not filling

Hi I have a wall mounted internal cistern. It's less than a year old. It's filled by a monsoon pump from the hot press usually, but at night we turn the pump off to stop the noise. Anyway, two nights ago the cistern just stopped filling. I can reach in and move the float up and down but no...

Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 BAR

It's heated by the immersion and the gas, when its on. I'll give the plumber some leeway. In fairness the job itself was a bathroom upgrade, sized and priced by the foreman. I'd think he's to share some of the responsibility for landing the plumber with 'install the pump for their new shower' so...

Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 BAR

Oh man, that is crap news, but I appreciate it. I'm going to measure how much comes out of the showerhead in a minute. I know a plumber who I trust. I might just get him to have a look. On the plus side, I haven't settled the bill for the work yet.

Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 BAR

from my perspective looking at the pump; On the right side theres two pipes. The near pipe seems to be the cold feed, coming straight from the attic, but before it gets to the pump theres a small T from it, to topup/feed the radiator system. On that radiator feed is a stop cock and then a...

Thanks Picasso. I should have said that the system is fed from a tank in the attic.

Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 BAR

Hi I've a brand new Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 BAR installed recently. The problem is that every minute or so it comes on for 3 seconds or so. I cant immediately see a leak anywhere unless its under the floor :( Would a small leak cause this behavior? and Is there any way I can...

    Painted stove insulated board. Stinks.

Sorry to drag it up again, but some new information ... the boards in question are Vermiculite boards. Could I use a heat gun to strip away the paint? Or would the asbestos risk still apply? Thanks

    Painted stove insulated board. Stinks.

Hi We have an inset stove in the house, where the old fireplace existed. There is some kind of board surrounding the sides and the back of the old chimney place. I guess to protect from the stove heat. Anyway... we ended up painting the board, and now it stinks of chemicals whenever the stove...

    PVC door frame /door bent/draught

So I tried that advice and it worked, but just not enough. There is still a couple of mm of a gap, even though the rollers are adjusted. Should I take off the thing the roller fits into and screw it in back closer to where the door closes?

    PVC door frame /door bent/draught

Hi I notice that up near the top of my door there is a gap between the door and the frame, slight breeze getting in. I can slide a €2 coin easily into the gap. Any ideas on what I could do here? I should also mention that at the top and middle of the door the seal is fine. It's just the 3/4...
