I have actually purchased two 1.5 meter hoses and a chrome compression coupling fitting. I removed the nut and olive from the fitting and joined the two hoses together. I am well chuffed with the results ! Thanks for the help everyone

There is a great video about a chap building one of these on you tube. He is in the UK and gives you a list of materials etc etc. Very informative. Have a quick search if you can and in the mean time i will try and find the link for you.

I must be about the one millionth person to have the drain pipe on the combi boiler freeze solid ! I have stuck a hose from the bottom of the boiler in to the sink as a temporary measure ! If only I had been arsed to connect it under the sink in the first place !

Yeah it only trips out when its on. the dishwasher is plugged in now but turned off via the button on the front, I left the socket live. Everything else is running fine. Never had a problem with the dishwasher in 4 years and then this !
