    How to adjust UPVC butt hinge

    Hello We've always had trouble fully opening our front door and I've decided to get it sorted. The right hand side of the door doesn't line up with the frame that surrounds it, and looking at the hinges on the left there does appear to be a large difference between them, so I'm looking at...

    Window sealant with wallpaper

    Hello, I'm planning on wallpapering a room, however the windows need the sealant tidying up. This has given me two questions that I'd like answering if anyone could please help: 1) Do I want acrylic or silicone sealant? Various places say acrylic when painting, but obviously I'm not doing...

    Shelves onto plasterboard / tile

    Whilst looking on Youtube I came across 'snaptoggles': Are these better? They're about twice the cost, however since I only need 8-10 and Screwfix sell packs of 20 toggle bolts I'll only end up wasting half a pack of those anyway.

    11.6" notebook <= £200 ?

    Not sure what you mean by 'assume to sata' - sata is just the connection type. An SSD will make things a bit faster, however on a notebook like this it's unlikely that it will be noticeable. It'll boot up faster and programs will open a bit quicker (but you'd only be talking about a web browser...

    Shelves onto plasterboard / tile

    Hello, We're looking at putting some shelves up in the bathroom, however the size and style we (she!) wants doesn't match up with the wall studs. I'm dubious about putting them in onto the tile and plasterboard behind but can someone tell me if it is ok, and if so what's the best way to do it...

    Bosch extra-clean

    Hello, I'm cutting some 18mm wood for a cupboard and would like it to look neat after I'm done. I've been looking for blades and (assuming I'm cutting from the top) I think I need a downstroke one like the T101BR. Am I right in that? After looking round I also saw the T308 which apparently...

    Using floor grout on walls?

    Concrete floor, 30 x 30 tiles and I haven't got the adhesive / grount yet. Wife used the tub stuff and had a large nightmare in the kitchen when it didn't set for about 10 days!

    Using floor grout on walls?

    Hello, I'm about to be tiling my toilet floor / walls and have a question. I'm tiling the floor in beige, and have some grout/adhesive in this colour. I know it's not a good idea to use the floor ahesive on the walls, however if I use some spare wall adhesive I have (which is white from the...
