My disco lighting bar in my Bedroom.

This got to be the weirdest project I've seen on here or anywhere else for that matter. Disc lights in your bedroom? I had to double check it wasn't April fools day and a wind up.

    Toast

You just get one of those Premier inn revolving toasters. Did see one guy make a big toasty once and put it through. We had to wolf the breakfast as we watched it go on fire as it was stuck in the machine.

    agora business publications Scam

I have changed the title in order for it to come up on searches for this company. I read one that sounded like they settled with this scum so hopefully this comes up with others searching the web.

    agora business publications Scam

That would of been a good move if it wasn't resolved :D Got a polite email stating nothing further would be sent. They said it was all explained to me in an email at the beginning. They only got my email address today when I slated their questionable company. Its bad enough getting junk...

    agora business publications Scam

yeh looking at this company on the internet they do have a history of this scam with various publications. I think they try to trick you with wording that you have to tell them to stop. At the end of the day their trying to sell something at a ridiculous rate (in my case £84 for 6 pamphlet's...

    agora business publications Scam

I got a phone call at work from "agora business publications" telling me they had a monthly construction health and safety publication. They asked if I would be interested in viewing a free edition which I said "go on then" I gave my name and works address to send this to. It arrived as a...

    Light tunnel

Mine was the monodraught sun pipe but I found it seemed to condensate inside the dome then trickle out the bottom. The felt round the sides of the dome joint seemed to saturate then over flow at the lowest point. I opened the dome and dried it out completely then created a mastic seal at the...

    Light tunnel

I installed a dome type sun tunnel on our loft conversion ridge roof. Not sure if this type is more suited to flat roofs but we have really struggled to make this not condensate/leak? and stain the ceiling. I think we have solved it but will find out in the winter.

New garden office project.. cladding help

I would make sure your cover is 100% waterproof if going with OSB. Yes the wall must ventilate or it will become damp. If you have suitable foundations then you could build a building on small plinths to keep the timbers off the ground. I wouldn't be inclined to start putting standards...

    Advice wanted for pebble dashing

Dependent on the weather and how quickly the butter dried I would do a section working up. Once the bottom was getting stiff enough to hold the slurry/stones I would switch to this. Its pretty much trial n error to see what suits. I cant remember the slurry mix but I got it on here somewhere...

    Advice wanted for pebble dashing

I watched some you tube videos and got some advice on here. Started with my garden wall then the front of my house then did a new extension out the back. I should of started round the back and worked my way round the front once I had some practice but it looks ok. The most difficult bit I found...

New garden office project.. cladding help

I would be reluctant to use OSB unless the covering will be flexible such as a slate roof or rubber. The material will expand and contract to break a bond with anything that is of rigid bond. I got 1.2m x 2.4m x 10mm versapanel from SIG at £16.24 a panel + £20 delivery. A while ago now mind...

New garden office project.. cladding help

Versapanel cement particle board is fairly inexpensive and used in the construction trade often as a carrier board. Carrying render etc. I have a garden room build in the projects section on here where I used this board. The wall make up was : Plasterboard, vapour barrier, 4x2 timber...

    Crumbling cement in New Extension

What did your local authority building control say? If they say no then the builder has no option but to redo.

Moving house and need games room in the garden!

I had a similar idea in building a sanctuary in the garden away from my 1 year, 3 year & 5 year old. Only problem was they quickly moved in and took over the place when finished. House is quieter though when their out in it. tempted to lock the door a few times...

Tiling my decking - where to start?!

Best would be doubled well screwed down and with overlapping joints if its going to have folks walking on it. I started using as a replacement for plywood. We operate on a shoreline so nothing lasts well in this environment. This stuff is brilliant and can be used for all manner of jobs outside...

Tiling my decking - where to start?!

Google : versapanel. Its a cement based carrier board that is weather proof. Similar to the expensive small tiling boards you see in B & Q. Not as expensive and 1.2 x 2.4m sheets.
