    spot the mistake?

Thanks Ban, Nice to see you can laugh at people who are less fortunate. Yes I'm training and I wouldn't be on here if I knew everything..... You have probably been doing electrics all your life, but if you asked me for help on linux or server issues I'd be able to help. Not laugh because...

    spot the mistake?

Thanks Gareth, appreciate your help. Just when i was doing my electrical training they taught us the certain ways to wire 2 and 3 way lighting, didn't know how far you could stray from it. Ta

    spot the mistake?

Thanks Gareth, Will the second light actually work that way?.. Problem I have are the lights have just L and N, no loop connection... Holmshaw's way works, but by not linking the commons does that mean it doesn't comply with the wiring regs? Thanks

    spot the mistake?

Forget the CU, that's another junction box/light its coming off. The PL comes off another light but the 2 lights here are have just live and neutral. Unlike a standard ceiling rose.

    Comm and Strapper cable colours

    Pure Legato cd40

I have a Pure Legato CD40 DAB radio that has just stopped working.... Well a while ago anyway, and I've now decided to challenge the problem. I know there are so many bad reviews about the product, especially the CD player. But I only want to use it for the radio anyway. Problem is I just get...

spurring more than 1 socket off the ring.

Just a really quick question. When you spur off the ring with more than one socket, then a fused spur must be used. Question I have is, does the spur need to go next to the new socket or the spurred socket... And what if there is no room near either. Thanks

How thick does steel protection have to be?

Does the plate need to be earthed if it's in no contact with the cable at all. For instance the cable is buried 20mm and filled over, then the plate is over this..

    Prescribed zones question.

Hi, I've got a mezzanine level in my bedroom and from bottom to top the ceiling is sloped with wooden beams coming out every few meters. I am putting wall lights up, but the cable can only be run diagonally due to the shape and obstacles. Under 7.3.2 of the on-site guide it states nothing...
