Hi... has anyone any experience with these saws? I cut MFC and melamine-faced MDF in my business, and wonder what the cut edge is like in those materials. All the reviews I've seen say it gives an excellent cut both sides in timber, but MFC is surely the ultimate test! Thanks, GW

I agree, the best way of getting it off is to split it & pull the nails. Also - in a lot of older houses the rail was fixed before the wall was plastered (can't think why) so when you take it off, you'll probably get the plaster above not being flush with the plaster below... if you...

c00 - I see you've used 20mm finish boards. Would it be possible for the jointed panels to be thinner? If so, take them to a joiner with a panel sander and have them sanded flat - if you're lucky you may end up with 15 or 16mm, especially as you jointed them correctly (end grains opposite ways)...
