Does anyone else out there have any?

One of my major hobbies is guitar playing.

When I get the time I intend to put together a guitar album of popular melodies and release it free on the web.

I've just found a couple of bits on my hard drive that give the idea what I'm going to do.

If anyone wants a sample then I've got a couple of links.

Remember that these are just preliminary efforts that have just been played straight out with little practice or effort, but they give an idea of what I mean.

Hey Kendor. I posted the thread at 11.47. You replied at 11.49.

You haven't even taken the time to listen - so why criticise what you haven't even heard?

My playing may be sad - but you are even sadder. :(

Oh dear, the sensitivity of the creative!! ;)

Joe, I've just listened to the first two (I have the slowest dial-up on the planet) & in my opinion I think you've done well... the Rodrigo is always difficult because of its slowness.

The guitar has probably been my greatest hobby for the past 40 years, but I still can't play well (although I'm told I'm pretty good at air guitar). I prefer to listen nowadays, and this makes me very critical of what I hear - I love all styles, and have many heroes.

Yes, put them on the Net. There are many people (not just me) who love to listen to other's efforts, and you mustn't be deterred - nor offended - by negative reactions, even light-hearted ones.

Do you have guitar heroes?

Well done Joe91 ! I am not at all musical but listened to all your renditions... Pleasant listening old son... Get that compilation together.
Perhaps the musicians hereabouts could produce a track together .. like add your parts across the web ..... 'The Knotters' :D

Good effort Joe, I sent them to my aunt who used to teach Guitar and play in a group that travelled the world..Jean said they are very good indeed and that you should continue..

I asked Jeans opinion as I am tone deaf...obviously I know what is and is not good music, but I am not capable of judging whether your efforts are good or not..a cat being played would likely sound good to me..

I'm impressed.

What was the name of the group Walter and what was your aunts name???? Maybe Jean must be your aunt? so whats her last name or the one she used when travelling the world with this group?

Very well done, I wish I could play that well, keep up the good work.

I don't believe Joe played them.

Choose a well known song and I'll record it. How about a Christmas carol being as the season is upon us?

Just give me a day or two to find the time to record it.
