Forgot to prime behind small area - help!

Thanks for your reply also. I always used to prime everywhere at the start, however when I then went on a tiling course at a later stage the tutor said something about if priming you should be tiling the same day, which lead me to doing it in stages. The adhesive on the walls is flexible...

Forgot to prime behind small area - help!

Thank you so much for your reply, the walls were newly plastered and clean. These tiles are higher up on the sink wall next to a big window. The shower has been tanked and everything done properly around that bit.

Forgot to prime behind small area - help!

Hi, been working on a big bathroom and at the start of each day have been priming the area I'm going to work on. Except one day a couple of days ago l got through way more than I thought. And I have only just realised that three rows of tiles (21 metro tiles to be precise) on one wall were put...

    Help, paint is scratching off!

Hello, not new to painting but this is the first time things have gone wrong. Went to paint a room for my Mum in her new house. Gave the walls a sand, followed by doors, door frames and skirting, did some filling and painted ceiling - all good so far. Painted all the walls using a well known...

Which way for cement backer board?

Hello, which way is cement backer board meant to go, smooth side to the front, or rough side to the front? Does it really matter at all, only l have had a workman who has put some up using a combination of the two - worried that tiles might start falling off or something. Further to add, l have...

    Tiles, wood or engineered?

No pets, only the child who likes to flip herself about every 5 mins. No underfloor heating (although maybe that would be nice), just a decent radiator. Also I'm not sure how long l am going to stay in this house, maybe another couple of years - I'm therefore now wondering whether it's worth...

    Tiles, wood or engineered?

I would like a wood effect for my living room floor, but can't decide on tiles, wood (this is probably the dearest option), or engineered (which obviously looks like the wood). What would you go for and why? What would you avoid? People's thoughts much appreciated!

    Tiling over stone

I have done a number of tiling projects in both my last house and this house. I know some people might think this is criminal but I want to tile over the old stone flooring in the kitchen. It's in terrible condition and hasn't been looked after by previous owners, it looks like outdoor...

    Radiators Agggggh it's a minefield!

Struggling with which radiator to get and it seems like it's an absolute mindfield and doing my head in! I understand the differences in the different types of metals and their pros and cons. I essentially want a traditional looking vertival column radiator, my plumber told me most radiators...

    Air Source Heat Pumps

Does anyone have knowledge or personal experience of Air Source Heat Pumps? A company who did some work for me previously contacted me and sent someone round RE these. I have absolutely no knowledge of these hence why I'm here. Basically it costs 13k (spread over 7 years on finance) to...

    Cleaning up internal stone flooring

One photo attached. Area is a T shape no more than 8m2. A solution put down would be useful, and also where to hire a machine to do the job (already tried DSS thanks). Then what to seal it with. That's about as much info as I can give you.

    Cleaning up internal stone flooring

Any ideas please how I can clean up an internal stone (York I think) floor? I got quoted £400 on the phone today for a space of less than 8m2 to clean, regrout (each one is massive so hardly any grouting), and seal. This price seems excessive for such a small area and I just don't have that...
