    Hi, i assume you have the tv on, check the digi box is on and your viewing a channel via the scart lead If you can operate the digi box remote and you can see it responding other than getting the menu on, then it may be a fault with the remote or box.

    Dual boot win 7 and xp

    I have win 7 home edition on the master HD. I was going to set the bios to re arrange the hd boot order to boot from the slave, install xp on it then edit the boot.ini to get dual boot. Is there a better way to do this such as leaving the bios alone, install xp, and have win7 boot manager setup...

    Could it be bitumen? you could try white spirit if it is to get most of it off but may smudge and stain the wood up more. though I did have success with a garden gate after roofers splashed it.. (assuming that stuff in the pic is bitumen)

    I'll be having a go with Johnstones Aqua. i'm told it won't yellow like oil based paint. I'm new to it too so i'll be using a test piece 1st. Had a bad experience with Dulux, it yellowed after only a month. not sure if they've fixed it yet. Hello Scottevans, wrong sort of painting... :D

    There are only 5 or 6 wasps going in and out of a nest hidden behind facia on side of building near the main path. They die off in winter and told wasps avoid old nests so unlikely to re nest there.. i'm not into killing creatures off if i can help it. Can i leave it alone if it stays manageably...

    Question about tesing earth.

    Can anyone tell me how i can test an earth connection using a multimeter. can do a continuity test , but not sure how to test for resistance. I was thinking of testing the connections on the MET. is there an accepable amount of resistance

    I was thinking of removing an outside light fitting from an asbestos soffit above front door, then glue a hard board patch over the hole. But not sure if this is too dangerous due to any dust.. Any thoughts?
