double panel radiator without back panel --> reflector?

Thanks. So according to this: http://simplifydiy.com/plumbing-and-heating/radiators/power my radiator has an output of c. 1000 BTU. And according to this https://www.bestheating.com/btu-calculator the room needs c. 2400 BTU. I suspect the reflectors won't be enough!

double panel radiator without back panel --> reflector?

After a winter of freezing in my bedroom, I have finally removed the grille from the top of my radiator to have a proper look. I get the impression that in order to save space, the people who fitted the radiator decided to take a standard double panel radiator and fit it without the back panel...

mortar on MDF – What would you do?

The vanity unit, toilet and shower have all been put on top of the boards, so I really don't want to rip them out. I've just tried to remove some of the tile adhesive with a chisel and it comes off more easily than I thought. I'm now thinking I might do that with the whole floor. Then I just...

mortar on MDF – What would you do?

Are you saying that what can be seen under the tile adhesive is the fibre underlay board? How would you go about prepping the floor for a new surface? Edit: I have just removed the threshold to the carpeted floor in the next room and the same boards continue seemlessly under the carpet.

mortar on MDF – What would you do?

What type of seal do I need?

Thank you! Having done some more checking, measuring and googling, I think it's this: https://www.stormguard.co.uk/stormguard-products/10450-2/ Does that look right to you? It says 'joinery seal' in the name but 'gasket' in the description. It's my own flat.

What type of seal do I need?

Hi, I've recently moved into a flat (the building is c. 20 years old), and I have just noticed that the seal has started to peel off the outside of the window frame as shown in the picture. I would like to replace this, but don't know what I am looking for. Do any of you know what type of seal...

    cracked window sill

thanks for the replies. I've found a guy who can cut a channel into the sill along the cracks to clean them out thoroughly, put in some mesh and fill with cement. I hope it'll work.

    cracked window sill

Hi there Although this is my first post, this forum has already helped me with a lot of my DIY projects and general questions. I hope you can help with this one too. We live in a small late-Victorian terrace. One of the upstairs window sills is cracked, causing damp inside. I have found a...
