    Driveway Garage Ramp and DPC

Not quite sure on the best way to do this. The ramp up to the garage is alongside the house and extends above the house DPC. the builder left a gap between the ramp and house and no doubt aware of the issue filled the gap with pea shingle. Not really ideal it gets full of weeds (mrs is a keen...

Excuse the very crude diagram but this gives an idea of the project and how the fence will be braced.

Stud & resin fixing for fence posts to top of wall

Another option would be to fit a wooden frame to the brickwork. This would allow more attachment points and therefore spread the load rather than the GardenTrellies method of fixing the posts directly with resin anchors. Bit like this. Kev

Stud & resin fixing for fence posts to top of wall

Yep agreed, which is part of why i wanted to speak to someone who has really done it and lived with it. To alleviate this, the fence is decorative inside the boundary so sheltered by other walls/fences, will use slatted panels for less resistance, the top layer of bricks will be engineers and...

    Door Frame

Cos door casings are planed wood and planed is always undersize. Quoting the nominal un planed size. The theory is that planing can remove different depths, so a nominal size is quoted. But in real life the machine just takes off a set amount, so it's big Con. Kev

Toilet becomes internal - cistern overflow?

Hi forum, Have small inside toilet that used to be on an outside wall before recent extension. The overflow went straight out the wall. I now need to redo the overflow. Ive looked into an internal flush type overflow (in fact it has one but the cistern has a (fixing?) hole in the back...
