By tanking i assume you mean putting some kind of waterproof sheet around all the walls that make up the cubicle?

There is an extractor fan in the room itself but it is on the otherside and as the cubicle is completely enclosed I think its best to put an extractor directly in the shower cubicle ceiling. I take it this needs to be a low voltage type?
