Thanks for the response. One remaning thing I'd like to confirm is that I don't need a rubber gasket between the pan and the tiles (it will be against one large travertine tile).

I will fit the wall hung toilet pan soon and my question is: as the pan spigot is unglazed and rough on the outside and the straight pan connector fits over this, do I need to add anything else to make a water tight seal?

Well its all still working fine since August 2009 including the original CFL lamps.

Will that be ok to just push straight into the asbestos soil pipe?
