How times have changed with timber quality

I've never heard that quote before, but it's definitely true! It's always worth paying a bit more for the extra quality...

This is good advice, you have to look after your tools if you want them to last a long time!

How times have changed with timber quality

Think this just furthers the image that British people (in general) like a good bargain, even if it isn't the better option. I get some people might not be able to afford the better quality, but I'm sure that some people just get the cheaper stuff because they see it as a "bargain". Sad really :(

    Rubbish LED Lamps

I wouldn't trust buying things like lamps online (unless from a good reputation supplier). I'd much rather go into a store and get something from there.

On site storage - insurance cover?

I personally would always look to use a 'recognised' self storage company (I always use Pay For Less Storage) for sure, most of them are relatively cheap to use and can be very handy when you have a lot of things but not much room. There seem to be more and more of them popping up all over the...

    Scam

What I've done before when being rung up by people selling conservatories is ask (after about 20-30 minutes of really keen sounding interest) "How do you get me a conservatory when I have a flat?"

    Regular Services

Hi all, What do people think of getting regular services? Do people think there is benefit to doing this? Of course it costs more money than just paying for an MOT each year, but I'm sure that there are some advantages of regular servicing.

    Flow meters?

Hi everyone, I've been looking at flow meters recently, and can tell that they are obviously useful to certain industries. I just wondered what the benefits would be to a household, and are there any? I assume that an ultrasonic flow meter would be better anyway, as I believe this allows you...

House renovation where to start? Help needed!!

When I moved house, I just took it a room at a time. I didn't select which room I was decorating/whatever else specifically, I just did what one I felt like doing! But always have a plan before doing ANYTHING! If you're looking to extend your kitchen, it might be an idea to do this first as it...

    DIY CCTV

Hi everyone, I am wondering if it would be worth a complete amateur trying to figure out how to set up CCTV! I'm assuming not, so I'll probably get a professional company in to do it for me! Thanks for any advice!

    Kitchen fitting cost

This is a classic situation! I know some people don't think of it or push it too hard, but it really is important to get a price (even if it is vague!) I always get a price before getting any work done :) Just got a kitchen extension from Arc and Be, they were definitely good value for money...
