    Asbestos Roof Sheets

Thanks everyone, sorry the sheets are 142cm x 130cm. Branty, thanks very much, I had read this my main problem is wrapping the sheets up as they are so large. Obviously I want to avoid breaking them as much as possible. I'll give the council a call first thing Monday. Thanks again!

    Asbestos Roof Sheets

Hi, I've recently carefully dismantled our old garage roof and building. I've managed to dispose of the garage shell but am now stuck with 10 sheets of 142x130 asbestos roofing. I want to either dispose of this at the local dump or have it collected. Are there polythene asbestos bags this...

    Help with customers gurgling bath!!!

Thanks Madrab, odd that it only happens on the bath though, as the shower and basin both also feed into the 2” in the picture. I was “hoping” there was a strap boss to go onto the existing 2” pipe so I can put a 2” admittance valve on there too? I get what you mean though.....it does seem to...

    Help with customers gurgling bath!!!

Hi Got called by a customer as their bath gurgles every time they flush the loo. I went to the loft, removed the durgo valve, flushed the loo and hey presto, no gurgling so I thought the valve must have jammed. Fitted them a new one and the gurgling is back!! Thought it must be a blockage...

Anyone Recognise This UnderF Heating Pipe

Mmmm, thanks Bonni, it’s turned into a bit of a nightmare, I’ve changed the manifold over and as suspected, the crimp joints are also leaking, as well as the blending valve and both iso’s on the manifold!!!! Madrab, the water was clear-ish, a lot of debris in the system though, doesn’t look...

Anyone Recognise This UnderF Heating Pipe

Hi All, Got to change a leaking JG Speedfit Underfloor Heating manifold for a customer due to it leaking. I have concerns that the pipe connections used by whoever installed the job used may also be leaking. However, I do not recognise this pipe, has anybody seen anything similar? Why they...

    Lintel for Shelf in Shower

They want recessed, not corner shelves for some reason. You have given me an idea anyway. I'm going to go with part recessed and build out the shelf from the wall at an angle. Thanks all!

    Lintel for Shelf in Shower

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. No, not possible, it's a window wall and will also have a bath along it. They only want to put shower gel etc on it but thought I'd check, I'd be happier with a lintel but don't want to go too overboard for something that's going to be 3 or 4 inches deep! Screwed.

    Lintel for Shelf in Shower

Evenng All, I've got a bathroom renovation job for a customer. They've asked for a recessed shelf in the shower. Having stripped everything back I've found the walls to be breezeblock - how deep can I make the shelf safely without a lintel and if they want it deeper what lintel do you suggest...

    Victoria Plumb Shower Valve Fitting

Hi All, I'm fitting an external shower valve, one part of this fitting has the valve screwed onto it, what does the 15mm fitting screw into on the wall. There is nothing in the box for this or in the instructions and Victoria Plumb don't know!!! Many thanks Screwed!

    Help with Rubi TS60 Breaker

Thanks, will start with a new wheel, have tried some different tiles and they broke fine, very odd. Hope it's not the breaker as the machine does look nearly new, will be a bit gutted if I have to replace all the parts!! The job was tiling a lean to using tiles that were bought 15 years ago, it...

    Help with Rubi TS60 Breaker

Hi All, First of all, hats off to all pro tilers, it is hard hard graft!!! I bought a very nearly new TS60 off of eBay and to get me started had a job in my wife's aunts lean too (a whole world of pain). I lost so many tiles on cuts as the breaker would shatter the tile on the right hand side...

    Wharfdale 10.1 Speaker Stopped Working

Hi All, Got a pair of these running off of a HK980 amp. Had a BBQ at the weekend and was running them fairly hard most of the day - not full blast but louder than I've ever normally run them. After a few hours one of them just gave up the ghost, no sound from it at all. Swapped the channels...
