STS foam tiling board // tanking really necessary ?

Thank you , so i don`t have to seal /primer tile adhesive  To be honest i am not sure how many degrees it is exactly :) But over that 75cm width of the tile it makes a around 10-12mm difference in depth between the ends (roughly )

STS foam tiling board // tanking really necessary ?

    Concealed shower valve questions

So I must be missing the outer O rings. In that case am I right thinking everything behind the panel has to be water proofed and any water getting behind the panel should just run down and out ?

    Concealed shower valve questions

Hi All , I am trying to fit a concealed shower valve into a stud wall which i have access to the rear of only. I have all the bits that came with the system (2nd hand ) but quiet confused as to how the front decorative panel gets secured in its place. Made this plywood template to act as the...

    shower head push fit connection

Hi All , I am installing a concealed mixer valve with a separate hand held shower head. I am a bit surprised to see the fitment on the hand held shower head supply though . Instead of the usual screw on type ,it is a push on fit (similar to a garden hose connection ) with a grub screw from...

    Single coat render

Thats not a bad idea to be honest. Any idea of a good brand that will last long years as i dont want to be doing this job often? Also since the breeze blocks are super porous , is there anything i can use to seal them before the paint ?

    Single coat render

I have got a garage built with breeze blocks (single skin) and one of the side walls get a lot of rain in driving wind in the winter. This wall is not so visible as it is partially blocked by neighbour`s fence hence working space is tight & it does not need to look pretty however it needs to be...

Garage sides render / tight space

thank you , that definitely gives me some direction now. Could you confirm TYVEK application would be straight on to the wall held in place with vertical battens ? One side gets a lot of wind and rain push which i would like to keep nice and dry as i want to insulate from inside later.

Garage sides render / tight space

So it would be tyvek wrap with roofing battens on top then water proof sheet of some sort. I presume rendaboard would need to be rendered as well ?

Garage sides render / tight space

I have just had my double pitch garage built using breeze blocks at the end of the garden (mid terraced house ) On one side I have a fence on the other side I have a garage wall. I have roughly around 40-50cm for on either side for rendering or cladding. I am mainly trying to achieve weather...

    Wet Bricks?

I thought there should be impervious bricks under the dpc. Surely they are sucking water from the ground but as long as the water is not being passed above the dpc and the bricks not staying wet all the time i would not worry too much.
