Kitchen Waste Arrangment McAlpine To Waste Disposer

Yes luckily it’s all adjustable so should be able to get a decent fall on it. I’m not sure how I would attach a waste pipe to the Mcalpine pipe with just an o-ring on it. Not sure if you need a Mcalpine converter of some sort

Kitchen Waste Arrangment McAlpine To Waste Disposer

Yes I will have to lower the whole section which is not an issue in order to get the correct fall from the disposer.

Kitchen Waste Arrangment McAlpine To Waste Disposer

I am in the process of finishing off the install of a food waste disposer but scratching my head as to how I am going to connect the waste pipes up to the arrangement in the photo below. I currently have a Mcalpine setup on the main bowl and trying to integrate this into the original setup...

    6mm Drill Bit For Tiles

Its either the 3M tape as someone else suggested earlier on or if I do drill then I will use a decent 4 point head drill bit as the tiles are definatly ceramic and not porcelain. Appreciate the advice on how to drill accurately and with the least risk to damaging anything. I am tempted by the...

    6mm Drill Bit For Tiles

Just had a look at that tape which is a good shout however it may be a bit tricky to get enough tape onto the bracket that holds the items on the wall. Will double check the bracket first to see if it’s possible. I don’t want any movement on them like my old set had!

    6mm Drill Bit For Tiles

My bathroom is nearly finished but need to attach a toilet roll holder and toilet brush holder to the tiled wall. The rawl plugs require a 6mm drill bit and looking into getting a decent bit that isn’t going to last one hole. There seems to be so many out there with poor reviews saying they...

Bosch Condensing Tumble Drier Cutting Out

I have cleaned both airflows to the heat exchanger yes and also just took the back panel off to see if the heat element was blocked up but was all fine. I have seen the airflow from the rear of the machine and the front of the machine is all clear and I am now thinking its one of three sensors...

Bosch Condensing Tumble Drier Cutting Out

Tumble dryer is around 4 years old and a year ago noticed that it is cutting out at random points during the drying cycle. The reason for cut out on the display is a fluff filter or heat exchanger issue. This model (after reading reviews) is notorious for this problem and did a little bit of...

Best Sealant For LVF And Filling 5mm Gap Transition Strip

I have now fitted my flooring in the bathroom and want to seal around the edges as there are no skirting boards and you can see the imperfections in the cuts. Before I seal is there any recommended types of sealant for this flooring or will standard white bathroom sealant work well? I also have...

SKY Hybrid/Smart LNB With A Switch For Wideband

I have a switch with a sky dish and a SKY 'smart' LNB code EL010 and after some research I have found out the reason its not hybrid but 'smart' is due to there being no dedicated wideband connectors on the LNB. That way you can plug your wideband feed into any of the connectors and it will do...

I am needing to re-tile an area in the bathroom where my toilet and sink is but the tiles that I have are not made any more. They are Porcelanosa Pearls White and Porcelanosa Formas Blanco which are sized 33x20cm. I need about 35 formas blanco and only need around 6 pearls white. First...

Wall Hung Toilet And Waste Pipe Issue

I have a waste pipe aligned on the wall which is approx. 110cm from the stack itself. The problem I have is the waste pipe is sitting too low to the new outlet of the wall hung bracket due to my old toilet not being wall hung. If I raise the frame up I will be about 100mm out on the waste...

Fixing Toilet Frame To 22mm Chipboard Floor

I am fitting a wall hung toilet frame in a bathroom and currently have the rear supports on a masonry wall but obviously want the feet of the frame to be held as secure as possible to the flooring. One of the feet is sitting on top of a joist which is good for securing onto but the other foot...

Best LNB for 8 Feeds To House - Hybrid Options

Thanks so I will just stick with my faceplate setup and keep the freesat signals separate on another booster. I literally have two f type satellite outlets in four of the rooms so will work really well. It solves the issues with getting another LNB and dish and paying someone to do it when I...

Best LNB for 8 Feeds To House - Hybrid Options

Yeah it does look like a good setup apart from the price but I guess you get what you pay for with it! I don’t have triplex euro module anymore as I wanted more space for CAT 6 cables on my double gang faceplate. I have freesat feeds on a separate wolesely booster anyway but only have a 4...
