Oh and if it helps any… I was going round trying to retighten everything and the roof of the wardrobe has four locking nuts, the three to the left once I put the screwdriver in had a tiny gap between screwdriver and ceiling, the one on the right hand side had none and I could only tighten at an...

    Hanging a mirror - Sawtooth

I bought various 3” screws today and all the heads are too big to fit on the sawtooth, what is it about these that make a difference is it the decorative part which means it can just rest but look fine? Sorry if it’s a stupid question

    Hanging a mirror - Sawtooth

So I bought this mirror ages ago from Oak furniture land, https://www.oakfurnitureland.co.uk/furniture/skylar-metal-wall-mirror-black/31641.html. I have a new build with plaster board thin walls. The picture has two iron built in sawtooth hangers which you can sort of make out from this photo...

    Mounting a fairly heavy whiteboard

Hi Everyone, A bit of advice needed before I make a mistake. I've 'acquired' a white board from work that I want to put up in my office. Its somewhat heavy and has four screw holes. I have dot and dab walls so I've learnt courtesy of this board that I need to use longer screws and a plug for...

Hanging onto dot and dab... part 2

Yep, definitely not my bag this. Drilled a couple of mm to the left of where I need to be. Wouldn't even fit on if the fixing had gone in nicely. WTF do I do now other than cry/laugh/give up.

Hanging onto dot and dab... part 2

So I messed up with the hammer fixings. Fair enough. Lesson learned. Since I started I thought I may as well do the second hole the same since whilst overkill people said it would be fine... Hole went through a treat, no issue. Put the plug in, start screwing the screw in and as its bearing...
