    Had the time today to change the wax valve I followed the system for draining the boiler down spilt the diverter removed the end plug pushed out the wax valve swapped orings and washers replaced the fibre washers for the for the two pipes feeding water into the burner I now have a small leak...

    i work on valves for a living but they are medical oxygen with 300 bar behind them not CH with hot water. working on valves is not an issue just dont want to get covered in hot water, just unsure of what is behind what opening and what happens if i open a port Dave

    cheers for the reply smarty. I think that the pots are still open and the source of moisture could be shower, steam iron (a lot of steam is generated) the drier is vented to the outside. Dave
