I've just replaced an old window with a new upvc window. The profile of the window doesn't allow the straps to be fully rotated to 90 degrees as the profile channel it narrower than the strap fingers that stick out. Is this ok to leave it like this, or do I need to find some other straps that...

100% not a waste water leak, there is nothing above where the water is apart from the straight pipe going out through the ceiling and then through the roof.

Unless I can stand 2m in the air with the door held vertically I would need to hold the router on it's side (rotated 90 degrees) and I'm not sure that's advisable with a router? I've never seen one being used in this orientation before so I assume it's either not easy to handle, or unsafe, or both?

Thanks all, this looks like it's a complicated issue and not as straight forward as I thought it would be. It's only 1 out of a list of about 17 issues so I think I won't look into this one any further unless there is a need to in the future. The other issues are far more clear cut.
