Thanks Symptoms. What you advise makes sense. I'll tile first and see what it looks like but the old fashion in me draws me towards coving. As you say if the ceiling is out you have got some adjustment there. Many thanks Bas

Yes I did say in my original thread I was looking for a triple dimmer switch. So what your are saying is a 1way 3x250w switch would be ample. Thanks very much for your help Taylor

sorry taylor.i'm a bit confused.your saying that each dimmer is 150w....times that by three and it makes 450.so why should a 250 w dimmer be ok?

Hi guys. One quick question.Have all the jb's up in the ceiling and her indoors has decided she wants dimmable mains halogen. I need a triple dimmable switch to run three banks of 50 watt lights. Do I look for something 450 w rated or more.or can I go less with halogens?
