can you not unscrew the actual fan from the plate, turn it around, then screw back onto the plate? that is generally the option for reversing 240v fans.

where does the "single core" terminate? in the ceiling rose or the wall lights? the reason why i am asking is because we are getting confused with your terminology, 3 core/single core etc. are we talking twin and earth for the 3 core and twin and earth for the single core but with one wire cut...

whilst reading these posts i came across a load of abbreviations... what does "pir"/"afaik"/"ccu"/"fcu" mean? i know it's standard terms for you sparks, but for us non sparks?????????????

how many lights does the switch turn on? and does it say 240v on the bulb itself? or is this the packaging?

are they flush fitting spotlights in a ceiling? if so take out a bulb and read what it says on the bulb. i suspect they are 12v downlights, but we need to clarify this?
